These terms cover two things: using our website, and ordering 3D printed parts from us. By using www.lunia3d.co.uk or our instant quote tool at quote.lunia3d.co.uk, and by placing an order, you accept them.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Lunia 3D” mean Lunia 3D Ltd. “You” means the person or company using the website or placing the order. “Parts” means the items we make for you. “Your files” means the 3D models and drawings you send us.

Part A — Ordering parts

1. Quotes

  • Prices in our instant quote tool are calculated automatically from the geometry of the file you upload — its size, volume and surface area — together with the material, finish and quantity you choose.

  • A price shown online is an offer by you to buy at that price, not a contract. A contract is formed when we accept your order: by confirming it by email, or by taking payment.

  • Some parts cannot be priced automatically — parts too large for the machine, files that aren’t a solid closed body, and parts that only fit our build volume at an angle. For these the tool shows an estimated range and asks a person to look at it. An estimate is not a fixed price and cannot be paid against until we confirm it.

  • Quotes we email you are valid for 30 days from the date on the quote, unless it says otherwise. After that we may need to requote — material prices move.

  • We check every order before it goes into production. If we spot a mistake in a price — an obvious error, or a part the automatic system has misread — we will contact you before starting work and you may cancel without charge.

 

2. Your files

  • Accepted formats are .stl, .obj, .3mf and .step, up to 250 MB per file, and up to 600 MB per order. Files must be a single closed solid body to be priced automatically.

  • Units and scale are your responsibility. We build the part at the size the file describes. If a file arrives in the wrong units and we make it at that size, the parts are correct as ordered.

  • We do not modify, repair or re-orient your model without telling you. Where a file needs repair work to be printable we will quote for that separately.

  • Your files are confidential. See our Privacy Policy and Non-disclosure & IP policy. We are happy to sign your NDA.

  • You grant us the limited right to store, view, tessellate, slice and reproduce your files only for the purpose of quoting and making your parts. We claim no ownership of your design.

 

3. What you promise us

By placing an order you confirm that:

  • you own the design, or have the right to have it made;

  • making the parts will not infringe anyone’s patent, copyright, design right or trade mark;

  • the parts are lawful to manufacture and to own in the United Kingdom.

You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from a breach of the above.

We will refuse any order for firearms and their components, weapons, items designed to defeat security or safety systems, counterfeit goods, and anything else we reasonably believe to be unlawful or unsafe. We do not have to explain a refusal, and we will refund anything already paid.

 

4. Prices, VAT and payment

  • Prices are quoted excluding VAT unless stated. VAT is charged at 20% where applicable.

  • There is a £20 minimum order (excluding VAT and delivery). Orders below it are topped up to the minimum, shown clearly at checkout.

  • The maximum quantity per part through the online tool is 10,000. Beyond that, contact us.

  • Design and file preparation work, where needed, is charged at our published hourly rate and shown as a separate line.

How you can pay:

  • By card — Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay, handled by Stripe. Production starts once payment is confirmed.

  • On account by purchase order — available to approved account customers only. No order paid by purchase order proceeds until we have received and approved a valid purchase order. Nothing is scheduled, made or charged before then.

  • Account customers can generate a quote from their basket to send to their own procurement or accounts team. That quote holds the price for 30 days and does not place an order.

Payment terms for approved accounts are as agreed with you and stated on your quote and invoice (usually 30 days from invoice). We reserve the right to charge interest and recovery costs on overdue invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Agreed prices. Where we have agreed a fixed rate with you for a specific item, that rate applies to that item on your account, whatever quantity you order, until either of us changes it in writing.

 

5. Lead times and delivery

  • Typical lead time is 2–5 working days from acceptance, and the date shown on your order is our estimate for that basket. Large builds, dyed finishes and materials that need drying take longer, and the tool shows this before you order.

  • Orders placed after 2pm are treated as received the next working day. Working days exclude weekends and English and Welsh bank holidays.

  • Lead times are estimates, not guarantees, unless we have agreed a fixed date with you in writing. We will always tell you as soon as we know a date has moved and why.

  • Delivery options and prices are shown at checkout. Collection from our Cardiff premises is free and by appointment — we will email you when your parts are ready.

  • Delivery times quoted by carriers are theirs, not ours. We are not liable for delays once a parcel is with the carrier, but we will help you chase it.

  • Risk passes to you on delivery, or on collection. Title to the parts passes when we have been paid in full.

 

6. Quality, tolerances and finish

3D printing is a manufacturing process with real tolerances. Please read this section before ordering parts that must fit something.

  • Typical dimensional accuracy is ±0.3 mm or ±0.3%, whichever is greater, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Tight fits, threads and press-fits should be designed with clearance or specified to us in advance.

  • Layer lines, support marks, minor surface blemishes and slight warping are inherent to the process and are not defects.

  • Colour varies between batches, materials and suppliers. Dyed parts vary in depth of colour. Colours on screen are indicative only. If colour match matters, ask us for a sample first.

  • Material properties published on our website are typical values from the material manufacturer, measured on test specimens. A printed part is not isotropic: it is weaker across layers than along them. Published figures are a guide, not a specification.

  • Parts are supplied for the use you specify. Unless we have agreed it in writing, parts are not supplied for safety-critical, load-bearing, medical, implantable, aerospace, automotive-safety or pressure-containing applications. Assessing whether a part is fit for your purpose is your responsibility.

 

7. Changes, cancellations and returns

  • Tell us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. If we have not started work we will cancel it and refund you in full.

  • Once production has started, an order cannot be cancelled and the work completed up to that point is chargeable. Printing usually begins within one working day.

  • Custom-made goods. Parts made to your file are bespoke. For consumers, the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply to goods made to your specification (regulation 28). Your statutory rights in respect of faulty goods are unaffected.

  • If something is wrong, tell us within 7 days of receiving your parts, with photographs. If parts are faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, we will remake or refund them at our option. Please do not modify or attempt to repair parts before contacting us.

 

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that:

  • Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of contracts, loss of production, or the cost of parts or tooling made by anyone else in reliance on ours.

  • We are not liable for loss arising from a file that was wrong, badly scaled or unsuitable for the process.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control — supplier failure, machine breakdown, power or network outage, carrier failure, extreme weather, or industrial action. If such an event lasts more than 30 days either of us may cancel the affected order and we will refund you for anything not yet made.

 

9. Accounts

  • Accounts on our quote tool sign in by a one-time code emailed to you. Keep access to that mailbox secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

  • You are responsible for orders placed from your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.

  • We may suspend or close an account that is used unlawfully, abusively, or to place orders that are not paid for.

 

Part B — Using our website

10. Licence

Unless stated otherwise, Lunia 3D Ltd and its licensors own the intellectual property in all material on this website, and all rights are reserved. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not republish, sell, rent, sub-license, reproduce or redistribute material from this website without our written permission, or use our logo or artwork without a licence.

 

11. Accuracy

We take care over the information on this website, but we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate or current, or that the website will always be available. Material properties, machine capabilities, prices and lead times may change without notice. Nothing on the website is technical or professional advice — if a part matters, talk to us.

 

12. Comments and submissions

Where the website lets you post comments or reviews, you confirm that you have the right to post them, that they don’t infringe anyone else’s rights, and that they are not defamatory, offensive, unlawful, or advertising. We do not review comments before they appear and are not responsible for them, but we may remove anything inappropriate. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use and edit comments you post.

 

13. Linking to us

You may link to our home page or content provided the link is not deceptive, does not imply endorsement, and fits the context of your site. You may not frame our pages or alter how they appear. We may ask you to remove a link at any time, and you agree to do so.

We are not responsible for the content of any site that links to ours, or of any site we link to.

 

14. General

  • Business customers. Where you order as a business, these terms are the whole agreement between us and replace anything said beforehand. Any terms on your own purchase order do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

  • Consumers. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

  • We may update these terms. The version published when you place your order is the one that applies to it.

  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

  • These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
